Is Your Blood Getting Thick?

Blood viscosity, or blood thickness, plays a key role in heart health. If you’re at all concerned about heart health, you probably have a good understanding of cholesterol and blood pressure, and likely know your numbers. But there may be another critical blood-related issue to consider — blood viscosity, or blood thickness. According to a health report from Harvard University, people with thicker, more viscous blood may be at a greater risk for a heart attack or for developing heart disease.

That was the case for Sarah Klena, a schoolteacher in Orange County, Fla. Despite living a healthy, active lifestyle, she had a heart attack at age 31. Her doctors suspected blood thickness is partly to blame. “The doctors aren’t really sure what caused it, although they did say I have the stickier type of blood,” she says.

Blood thickness is an important determining factor of a person’s health especially one’s heart health, though not a common diagnostic test performed by modern doctors.

Ginger Found To Reduce Premenstrual Pain and Mood Symptoms

New research has confirmed findings that ginger root can relieve premenstrual pain and associated symptoms, without some of the side effects associated with NSAIDs.

Medical doctors from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran studied 70 female students between 18 and 35 years old in a three-month long double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. The women had regular menstruation cycles and were not taking medications, but they each had at least five symptoms of PMS during their normal cycles.

It has been proven in recent clinical studies that ginger root can relieve premenstrual pain in women and also help in alleviating mood symptoms

“Jinn” Seen As Cause Of Mental Illness Among Muslims

Article by Bahar Gholipour, published in Live Science on Aug 2014. Edited for HijamaHerbs newsletter by Amin Shah.

It may be common for psychiatric patients who are Muslim to attribute their hallucinations or other symptoms to “jinn,” the invisible, devilish creatures in Islamic mythology, researchers in the Netherlands have found.

In Islamic mythology, Jinn, or djinn, are supernatural creatures made of smokeless fire. They are frequently found in Islamic folklore and are mentioned in the Quran, the religious text of Islam. Historically, they are portrayed as menacing creatures that can harm humans, or drive them mad. People in Muslim societies have traditionally seen Jinn as the cause of mental illness and neurological diseases, especially epilepsy.

Researches in Netherlands found that Muslim psychiatric patients commonly attribute their hallucinations, mood disorders, schizophrenia, epilepsy or obsessive-compulsive disorder to “Jinn”.

How Hijama Heals Injury

Hijama is the method of pulling out dirty, stagnant or congealed blood from the body. Small incisions are made on the skin and then cups made of plastic or glass are placed and pumped to create suction. Cups are left for a few minutes during which time the dirty blood flows out into the cups. Hijama relaxes and releases tight, painful muscles and increases blood circulation.

Hijama is an effective remedy for pain and injury. By relaxing tight, painful muscles and withdrawing dirty, stagnant blood from the area of injury, pain is alleviated

Types of Sihr (Black Magic) And Its Effects

1. Sihr of Separation

This form of black magic aims to separate or make discord between husband and wife, or stirs up hatred between two friends or two partners.

Sihr of Separation brings about feelings of dislike towards the other person in the marriage although there is no real cause for it. Trivial issues become exaggerated and lead to big arguments and feeling unhappy with each other.

Evil Eye – Its Effects and Protection

Evil Eye (ayn al-hasad or nazar) is harm, sickness, injury or even death by someone who is envious or jealous or even a pious person from among man or jinn. It could affect children, adults, livestock, and any kind of materialistic items. The most vulnerable are the very young, the wealthy and the beautiful.

Modern medicine rejects the phenomenon of Evil Eye as its effects are not based on logic or rationale. They can’t diagnose it as it doesn’t register on their medical machines, nor can it treated with prescription drugs or surgery. However, Rasullulllah (saw) said the effects the evil eye are real.

Don’t Let Your Blood Boil

A few days ago, I had a client who came to me for Hijama to resolve his health problem. He looked so frazzled and stressed out that it reminded me of the Prophet’s saying “Don’t let your blood boil with rage that it kills you. Seek relief with Hijama”.

Anger, frustration, disappointments, setbacks, unfulfilled expectations can make the blood boil. When left resolved, this can bring about chronic stress which can be lead to a whole range of diseases and illnesses.

Images of Stress
LEFT PICTURE: Don’t let your blood boil. Medical authorities confirm that 80% of serious illnesses is due to stress. Chronic stress (stress over a long period) can cause serious mental and psychological diseases like depression and anxiety. SECOND PICTURE: Stress can cause heart weakness and even heart attacks which can ultimately lead to death. THIRD PICTURE: Thinning hair and loss of hair may be due to overload of stress on your system. RIGHT PICTURE: Insomnia is another ailment attributed to stress. When people are stressed, they are in a hyper arousal state and can’t calm down to fall asleep.

The Jinn Cried Out, "Stop It, Stop It"

A couple of weeks ago, a women called us and made an appointment for Hijama. On the day of the appointment, when she arrived, my wife Nusrat welcomed her in and took her to the room to perform Hijama.

At that same time, I was performing Hijama on a male client who was suffering from sciatic nerve back pain. As I was treating the man, I suddenly heard some unusual noises coming out of Nusrat’s hijama room.

LEFT PICTURE: Ailments from the unseen realm such as possession of jinn, effects of black magic and evil eye are dismissed by modern medicine as hocus pocus. However, these unseen ailments are confirmed by Quran and Hadith as true and have real effects on the human body. MIDDLE PICTURE: Abou Mohamed, a well known Raaqi in UK, performing Rukyah by reciting Quranic verses to remove jinn from the body of a man. RIGHT PICTURE: Since jinns move around by way of the bloodstream, Hijama plays an important role in expelling jinns from the body.
