Blood Sugar Shifa – The Natural Way To Heal Diabetes

Diabetes is a complex disease which ravages the entire body. It leads to widespread damage in the body which includes damages to the heart, kidney, eyes and nerves. After the death of my mother due to diabetes, I have made it my personal mission to seek natural ways to heal this disease. I have come to a realization that conventional medical industry does not heal diabetes (nor do they want to), they only treat the symptoms.

My father was a high ranking medical doctor (Director of Health for 25 years, now retired) of my native country, Malaysia. My younger brother is a doctor who runs 3 medical clinics. Another younger brother of mine is an orthopedist (bone specialist) at a hospital. My brother-in-law is the head of the large city hospital. Yet, in spite of being surrounded by doctors and taking their drugs and even after undergoing surgery (her leg was amputated due to gangrene), my mother’s condition only continued to deteriorate and she eventually succumbed to her death.

Diabetes is notorious for causing widespread damage to the body. Damages include the eyes, teeth, gums, heart, kidneys, sex organs, blood vessels, nerves and more. Taking drug medication to lower blood sugar levels comes with side effects.

Long Term Complications of Diabetes
Diabetes makes your blood sugar higher than normal. After many years, too much sugar in the blood can cause problems in your body. It can harm your eyes, kidneys, nerves, skin, heart, and blood vessels.

You could have eye problems. You could have trouble seeing, especially at night. Light could bother your eyes. It could also lead to blindness.

Your feet and skin can develop sores and infections. If it goes on too long, your toes, foot, or leg may need to be amputated. Infection can also cause pain and itching in your feet, legs, and other areas.

Diabetes may make it harder to control your blood pressure and cholesterol. This can lead to heart attack, stroke, and other problems. It can become harder for blood to flow to the legs and feet.

Nerves in the body can become damaged, causing pain, tingling, and loss of feeling. Nerve damage can also make it harder for men to have an erection.

You could have problems digesting the food you eat. You could feel weakness or have trouble having a bowel movement.

High blood sugar and other problems can lead to kidney damage. Your kidneys might not work as well and may even stop working. As a result, you might need dialysis or a kidney transplant.

If you have diabetes, you are more likely to have heart disease or stroke. Excess sugar can injure the walls of the tiny blood vessels (capillaries) that nourish your nerves, especially in your legs. This can cause tingling, numbness, burning or pain that usually begins at the tips of the toes or fingers and gradually spreads upward. Left untreated, you could lose all sense of feeling in the affected limbs. Diabetes can damage the delicate filtering system of the kidneys. Severe damage can lead to kidney failure or irreversible end-stage kidney disease, which may require dialysis or a kidney transplant.

People with diabetes often have depression and the two diseases may be linked.

Some women with diabetes may have irregular periods and may have problems getting pregnant.

Diabetes increases the risk for dementia.

Side Effects of Diabetes Drugs
Metformin is a prescription drug commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes. Instead, it helps lower your blood sugar levels to a safer range.

Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are some of the most common side effects people have when they first start taking metformin. The more common side effects of metformin include heartburn, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, weight loss, headache, unpleasant metallic taste in mouth.

A more serious side effect of Metformin is lactic acidosis. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has posted warning on the box of Metformin about this risk. It’s a medical emergency that must be treated right away in the hospital.

Symptoms of lactic acidosis include trouble breathing, extreme tiredness, weakness, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, lightheadedness, a fast or slow heart rate, feeling cold, muscle pain, flushing (sudden reddening and warmth in your skin) and stomach pain.

Metformin can also lead to anemia (low levels of red blood cells) and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Long term use of Metformin can cause kidney, heart and liver problems.

Worst of all, Metformin does not cure diabetes, and it needs to be taken continuously for a long term.
